South City Midnight Lady. The band played this one on this warm Summer night. I suddenly teleported back to the 1970’s to my best friend David Shaw’s house in Greenwood, Mississippi. I could hear this song playing on his awesome home-built stereo featuring a hand built pair of Paul Klipsch’s corner horn cabinets he built in his backyard from birch hardwood and just a blueprint from Arkansas. I remember taking a cassette recorder and making a high grade metal tape of this vinyl so I could enjoy this music in my car. I probably wore this tape out. The song sounds as good today as it did then. My friend is gone but the music lives on. What a nice night this was. That is what live music is all about and I am fortunate to live in a time with this band.
