Gregg Allman. I have met him several times. I have seen him for five decades performing live in solo and band formats. At this point I feel like I am in the family that keeps the wind in his sails. I truly love his music and the whole story of all his band mates.
On this night I was in the Cone Denim Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Thankfully this show had not been cancelled due to the insane legislation of the North Carolina House of Representatives and the Governor’s office. I plan to vote against every one of them in the upcoming election. I may even volunteer to help oust them all. Back to the music…I had front row seats. I never sat in them. I brought a guy who works in my cafe at work. He wanted see Gregg. I had the tickets. I invited him. Hell he keeps me fed everyday. We are both rabid music fans….so the night went… we were several feet from the band and a half a dozen of my music loving friends I know from all over. It was quite a night. I already have a ticket to my next Gregg Allman show. I will never tire of this music. Never.
