Dave Mason and Andrew Talbert
I have seen Steve Winwood many times in concert and I have a secret. It never gets old. I have seen him long ago in the 1980’s and many times recently. I am currently holding tickets to see him again in 2022 which was a delayed tour form 2021. I could write many stories but I suspect my other posts have some of those stories in them. Not so long ago I had some fun hanging out with Dave Mason for a few minutes before his show in a sold-out theater. I still remember showing the photo I took of him in the late 1970’s to both he and his wife that night. I also remember laughing about how much hair we both had back then and saying “We may be older but we are still cool.” That was a great night of music! All of the musicians in the band ‘Traffic” were super-talented and still are. At this point there is so much history out there about all of these guys and large catalogs of great music. Some of the vinyl like the one featured for this blog post and companion podcast are now re-mastered and pressed on to 180 gram vinyl. I am slowly adding some of these albums to my collection as time goes on because I really enjoy listening to these tracks and exploring the music in detail.
