Here is a picture I took of Peter Mayer http://www.petermayer.com/ playing acoustic with some other guys…let’s just say it was “real late” one night…most of the Coral Reefer band was there as were a few locals and then the rest of us. It wasn’t too many hours after this picture was taken that I watched the sun come up across the Atlantic standing in the water in front of Dog Beach with one of my old friends Jimmy Jeffreys talking about old times. Key West…there is something funny in the water down there. As we rode our scooters back to the Casa Marina I remember it was 07:00 AM and we had not been to bed. It was Saturday morning and I was supposed to get Doyle Grisham’s pedal steel out of a trunk from the street festival show on Friday and deliver it to the stage that morning which I had to do prior to going to bed for a few minutes. I think I slept 2 hours from 9:00 to 11:00 then back to work.
