Well…this guy is in the family in so many ways. If you are an Allman Brothers fan you know the name Duane. Here is the rest of the genetics, etc: Duane has many other family connections as his brother is guitarist Derek Trucks, his uncle is Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks and his father-in-law is Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring. Now he is playing in the band “Widespread Panic.” So…there is the pedigree for a jam band drummer. He can play the part!
As I close this segment of my blog I do not want to leave out the other members of the band. They all ROCK! But i need to move on and I want to say I really appreciate the talent in the whole band. Here they are: TODD SNIDER, DAVE SCHOOLS, NEAL CASAL, CHAD STAEHLY, DUANE TRUCKS, JESSE AYCOCK !!!
