http://www.devonallmanband.com Devon is the son of Gregg Allman but I want to stop right there. He has the genetics but he blazed his musical trail completely on his own. He is one super humble and nice guy who will play his heart out and completely electrify a stage and then stop to sign anything someone brings him. He is one hard working guy and his work is showing off in the form of multiple bands and continuous great album releases.
I saw Devon this time with his band at the Piedmont Blues Festival in May and he completely lit the stage up with his playing. He was on fire! I have everything album-wise he has ever produced at this point but the one song that I really enjoyed was his cover Of Eric Clapton’s “Forever Man.” I had just seen him over at the side of the stage and I could see the desire in his eyes to play a great show. He spoke of how Warren Hayne’s wife Stefani Scamardo had just told him to hit road with his tour…”get out there” and grow his audience. That was exactly what he is doing. You can see it happening and when he hits the first note on his Les Paul you can feel it. He is the real deal. Go see him…now.
