The late Cornelius Bumpus. (http://www.corneliusbumpus.com/ ) I have been thinking about him lately as I was listening to Steely Dan. I have seen him play many times (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan) and I always thought he not only had a cool name but he was an awesome player on stage. I miss him. Time to listen to Steely Dan’s “Chained Lightning!” One of Cornelius’ best efforts ever. This man is a contributor to some of my most favorite music and I will never forget his awesome live performances I have witnessed and I treasure the recordings he left us.
