Turntable Tuesday! The Allman Betts Band “Bless Your Heart”

It’s Turntable Tuesday…because life is too short not to listen to great music! Turn that TV OFF and listen to some music on your local speaker! Before you even start reading I would encourage you to go buy the new Allman Betts “Bless Your Heart” vinyl for your collection. It is one record you should hear as soon as you can get it to land on your turntable or even your mobile device. Once you get this album be sure to take it up to “11.” It does rock!

It’s what’s on my 100 year old piano stool and close to my guitars this week. This album stays close to my 1976 gold top Gibson Les Paul or my Derek Trucks cherry Gibson SG. “Bless Your Heart” is pressed on beautiful clear vinyl.

If you want to listen to my companion podcast you can listen here or subscribe for free on any of the streaming services you use. My podcast is easily searchable on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google, Spotify, Tuned-in Radio, and many others by searching “Andrew Talbert” via World Wide Music Media. Listen in for my conversation with R. Scott Bryan!

The Allman Betts Band. These guys are the real deal. As a life-long Allman Brothers fan and being into this whole family of music most of my life I absolutely love this ABB evolution of Americana, blues, and rock with so many other flavors of other types of music. What an awesome band and what great music this is. This is a photo from the vinyl album. For us fans you know where that photo was taken.
“Airboats and Cocaine” What a great song and this video is so cool. I led the podcast off with a snippet of this song because I think the track just rocks.
As Scott and I talked on the podcast this video was filmed in Joshua Tree National Park. What a great song to lead off the album.

The track list from the album cover. R Scott Bryan and I talk all about these tracks and many stories on my companion podcast. The end of my podcast features a short sample of “Savannah’s Dream” the 12 minute track that you should put on your turntable. Just close your eyes and feel it. That song is a journey.
The band and the guests. You get this list on the cover when you buy vinyl!
The double album opened on one of my 100 year old piano stools to show photography of the band and things a listener needs to read. I will say the only thing missing is the lyrics. I love to read lyrics and follow along.
A photo I took at a sound check via my cell phone on a Saturday morning in Key West on the beach. You can smell the ocean in this photo. R Scott Bryan is getting setup for a show later this night. Scott spent 90 minutes talking with me all about this new Allman Betts album on my podcast today. Devon Allman is out front in this photo when the Devon Allman Project played Key West back in 2017.

There is lots of great conversation with Scott over on my companion podcast and you should tune in! I mean it is free and you can listen anywhere and anytime. I will say it again. Go buy this record or the digital tracks if you need those for your mobile device. Go see this band if you can get a ticket. I have seen so much great music in my life for so many years. This band is already leaving a mark in musical history. I can’t wait for the next time I get to see the Allman Betts Band.

Until next time I’ll see you, down the road.
